Frankreich exportiert auch viele Kartoffeln nach Saudi-Arabien, und es wird erwartet, dass die Kartoffel-Exporte nach \u00c4gypten in den kommenden Jahren deutlich zur\u00fcckgehen. In diesem Jahr wird \u00c4gypten voraussichtlich 100.000 Tonnen Kartoffeln importieren, verglichen mit 154.000 Tonnen im letzten Jahr. Im vergangenen Jahr hatten \u00e4gyptische Kartoffelproduzenten Zahlungsprobleme auf dem russischen Markt aufgrund mangelnder Liquidit\u00e4t auf Bankkonten. Aber von Januar bis M\u00e4rz nimmt \u00c4gypten weiterhin eine wichtige Position auf dem europ\u00e4ischen Markt ein.
